21 YEARS AGO TODAY: October 14 1990 AD, God changed my life and the direction of my life giving me new purpose in life through the amazing grace of Jesus Christ my Saviour and my God.
It is an amazing thing as I reflect back and see how wonderfully God pursued after me right from the start. There has been several time until I SUBMITTED my life to Christ that I came face to face with death and yet God had a purpose to protect me through all of that.
When I think of death today it is just another servant which will pass me through to Heaven. As in the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, death no more has that sting and victory of destruction but rather serves as an obedient servant by opening the door so that I can enter into the House of God. Psalm 23
Yes for me as well, to live is Christ to die is gain.
God along the way used many people including Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Atheists, Afghan, Iranians, Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, suffering, loneliness, a drunk man, a bicycle repair man, a man who gave his life, and a youth who led me through the door of this building. http://afghantv.org/sunlight.jpg and finally the man who led me to a prayer of repentance. He spoke from God’s word and said: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
This was indeed my problem in life. I always thought of hating the more if someone even I suspected that hated me. Throughout my journey from the day I was exposed to the word of God I was troubled with Matthew chapter 5 verse 44, “But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,”
God in a mighty way spoke to my heart through this preacher who presented God’s word in a beautiful way and the very next verse he shared was. ”Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” 1 John 4:8
Yes, that’s what was missing in my life, “LOVE”. And no love is complete without having Jesus as your Savior.
God helped me to acknowledged Him and repent from my sins and receive Jesus who says: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14 (the entire chapter) Yes, let not your hearts be troubled, Jesus gotcha covered! Because the peace that He gives indeed …surpasses all understanding, and it indeed will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
When Jesus comes to your heart and in your life that’s what happens. The chains of hatred breaks, and the slavery of darkness is rebuked and once you know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free. John 8:32.
Christian life is never easy. It is always taking up your cross and following Jesus. Luke 9:23. But as one friend at our Church once said; “Life is hard, but hard is good“. He is so right. Even-though we are walking int he valley of the shadow of death victory belong to Jesus and because I am in Jesus therefore nothing, yes NOTHING can separate me from His LOVE. Romans 8: 18-39.
Therefore I am celebrating today 3 times 7 equals 21 the victory of the LORD in the battle of the field of my heart and life and He conquered everything for me and became to Master of life and my God.
Hi
I am really glad to know you better. But, I don’t know how?
Pak Hussein,
Today you spoke in ministry chapel at Liberty University. I am a student here and I loved hearing you speak. I grew up in Indonesia as a missionary kid and God has really blessed me by giving me a heart for Asia and reaching the lost of the Muslim world. I was wondering if you could pray for me because I think the Lord might be calling me to serve Him somewhere in the Middle East. I’m so eager to go anywhere He wants me!
Thank you so much for speaking today, your story of salvation really spoke to me. May the Lord continue to bless you in your ministry!
Lauren
I love reading your teztimony. I have a strong love for my brothers and sisters in Christ and their persecution. I continually pray for every Christian in the Middle East. I was trying to find out how I can come and visit with my brethren in Christ. I would love to visit and help spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
